In other news, I recently got access to stream on TikTok! I’ve done Twitch streams in the past (and might multi-stream in the future, I have to check the rules for both sites) but this will probably be much more casual. For now, I can only stream directly from my phone. There’s an app…for Windows, which I don’t use. I’m working on getting access to a stream key so I can use my computer and do more, better stuff, but that might take a bit, so in the meantime we’re gonna do it the old fashioned way and just point my phone camera at my iPad while I’m working. Yeah!

Last of all, the 2024 solar eclipse was today, and we were directly in the path of totality. Unfortunately I only got a picture of the eclipse-in-progress, because the clouds blew over shortly after. But sure enough, it turned completely to night for a few minutes. Even the wildlife was convinced; the frogs started chirping as soon as it looked like dusk out, and as soon as the sun returned they stopped and the birds came back. The temperature dropped by about 10 degrees, and I was wishing I’d thought to dress warmer, but at that point I just had to ride it out, and it was worth it.
Have you ever experienced an eclipse like this? It was the first time I ever have, and I doubt I’ll see it again in my lifetime, but if I get a chance I’m jumping on it.
