ASK A CHIO: What would a chio -with no prior experience with humans- likely do if it found a human baby?

They’d probably recognize it as some kind of young “something” that needed help, at the very least. They would probably also be very confused!

I’m playing with the idea of resurrecting Ask a Chio in the Discord, or via the Chio Club, but haven’t fully come up with a plan yet. How would you like to see Ask a Chio return? Leave a comment or join us on Discord!

ASK A CHIO: Do chio like coffee?

The only Chio (that we’ve met, anyway) who may have experienced coffee is probably Dia. Dia probably should not have coffee, whether it’s like or dislike.

Do you like coffee? Can I interest you in a mug? Check out my mug designs (some including Chios!) in my Teepublic shop! You can even get specifically a caffeinated Dia mug, in regular or travel style!

ASK A CHIO: You’re not going to press the button, right?

Jacinto asks: Dia, in front of you is a big bomb with a nuclear hazard symbol painted on it. Connected to it is a small box with a shiny red button. You’re not going to press the button, right?

The lesson here is probably: don’t give Dia buttons.

Ask a Chio: Are there Chio hats?

Hats aren’t that common among Chios, because they’re kind of awkward to fit over and around those ears! It’s also not always necessary when you’re in a bright, sunny environment, so the most popular head coverings tend to be modified visor-like hats, or bandannas that can be wrapped around the head easily.

Ask a Chio: If technology within the post-apocalyptic world suddenly worked once again…

If technology within the post-apocalyptic world suddenly worked once again, would there be any interest from the Chio community to discover how it all functioned?

Chios are very inquisitive by nature and it would probably make them really happy to have so much new stuff to explore and experiment with.

Ask a Chio: Does a Chio’s tail signify moods at all? (wagging tail = happy, tail between legs = scared, etc.)

“Does a chio’s tail signify moods at all? (wagging tail = happy, tail between legs = scared, etc.)”

Chio ears are usually the best way to guess at what they’re feeling! They’re a lot like cats’ ears, and change direction based on their current mood. Check out this answer for a bit more info!

Ask a Chio: Is a chio more flexible than a human, or vise versa?

Humans and Chios are probably about equal in terms of physical flexibility! A Chio might be able to endure more pain to stretch a bit further, but not by much.

Ask a Chio: Is a chio’s skull very thick? (Can they headbutt things hard?)

Not any harder than a human can.
